Copy the new animal population files and need zone files to the corresponding folders 7xxxxxxxxxxxx and the slot folders.
Open that and delete all animal population & need zone files. Go to User\Documents\Avalanche Studios\COTW\Saves\7xxxxxxxxxxxxx (your steam ID). Since Yukon map release this still works. No need to delete the "animal_population" file all the time, do this tip/trick once and forget about it.Įdit:- Big thanks to Boba_Fettish for the below. If you have done this correctly each time you close and re-start your game it will reset animal spawns and also remove hunting pressure. Right click your "animal_population" file again and go down to properties, tick the box that says "read only" and click apply then OK. Now if you have done this correctly your animal population file should read 0 bytes in size. Now close the file and when it asks if you would like to save click "yes". With the file open, at the top click "edit" then go down to "select all" and hit the "del" button on your keyboard. Right click the "animal_population" file and select "open with" from the list that comes up then select "Notepad".
